Areas Grey explores the unresolved corners of history, the places where myth, legend, and historical record don’t quite agree.

Independent by design, we investigate without institutional constraint, sponsorship, or pressure to conform, allowing curiosity and evidence to guide our work.

Lost expeditions, pirate legends, forgotten places, and historical mysteries often survive in old maps, scattered references in archives, or local traditions that were never fully explained.

Those are the sorts of clues that tend to lead somewhere interesting.
