This policy applies to paid digital products supplied by Adam Middleton trading as Areas Grey.
Areas Grey digital products are normally made available immediately after checkout.
Before purchasing paid digital content, customers are asked to consent expressly to immediate supply and acknowledge that their ordinary 14-day cancellation right will be lost once supply begins.
A change-of-mind refund is therefore not normally available after the digital product has been supplied.
Please contact Areas Grey where:
the wrong file was supplied;
the file is missing, corrupted or cannot reasonably be opened;
access to a legitimate purchase has failed;
the product is materially different from its description;
the same order was charged more than once;
the digital content does not meet applicable statutory requirements.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, Areas Grey may:
restore access;
provide the correct or replacement file;
repair or correct the digital content;
provide an appropriate price reduction;
issue a partial or full refund.
For digital content that does not conform to the contract, the statutory remedy is generally repair or replacement first. A price reduction, potentially up to the full purchase price, may apply where repair or replacement is impossible or cannot be provided within a reasonable time without significant inconvenience. A full refund is available where the trader did not have the legal right to supply the content.
Where a full refund is issued, the customer’s licence to use the digital product ends and any retained copies must be deleted.
Subject to statutory rights, refunds will not normally be given because:
the customer changed their mind after immediate supply began;
the customer did not read the product description;
the customer expected a physical item where the listing clearly stated that it was digital;
the customer lacks suitable PDF-reading software or a compatible device;
the customer disagrees with a clearly stated historical assessment or conclusion;
the publication does not solve the unresolved historical question;
the customer breached the personal-use licence.

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method. Where consumer law specifies a time limit, the refund will be processed without undue delay and no later than 14 days after Areas Grey agrees that the refund or price reduction is due.
Customers outside the United Kingdom may have additional mandatory rights under local consumer law.
Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
